Recently, our editors received feedback from users that their air compressor motor was humming and not turning. How should this be fixed? If you want to fix the problem with this error, you first need to know what is causing the motor hums and does not spin error. The publisher has made the following arrangements in this matter:
1. Factors that cause the motor to whine and not rotate:
1. The starting capacitor ages, resulting in reduced starting current.
2. The motor capacitor is damaged.
3. The lubricating oil in the motor bearings will dry out and increase the frictional resistance.
4. Capacitors are easily damaged.
Motor hums and does not turn
2. Here's how to fix an engine that hums and won't turn.
1. Problems with the power connection will cause single-phase operation. Power supply lines, mainly motor wiring and fuses, should be checked for damage to the lines.
2. The position of the first end of the stator is not connected properly or there is a wire break or short circuit. Check the brush, slip ring, and starting resistor contactor connections, breaks, and shorts.
3. The rotor circuit of the winding motor is open and broken. Check contactor connections for brushes, slip rings, and starting resistor.
4. The load capacity of the motor is overloaded. The second case is engine unloading after unloading or half load start.
5. Towed machine stuck. Unload the towed machine and find the towed machine bug.
