How to figure out when to change the filter?
The filter's replacement time depends on how much it affects the pressure. Basically, if the pressure drops more than 0.68kgf/cm2, the gauge will show a red area. This means that the filter might need to be changed after 6000-8000 hours of use (around one year). Please simplify this text. The filters with activated carbon need to be changed when there is a smell coming from the other side.
Why do we need to change the filter often?
When the filter gets dirty, less air can pass through and the pressure increases. As a result, we will use more energy and electricity. This will make it more expensive to operate and make things. It will also harm the environment more.
What should you focus on when installing a filter?
The filter has a marked maximum pressure that can't be exceeded while using it.
Put the filter near where you'll use the air and where it's coldest. It goes after the aftercooler and air storage tank.
Do not put the filter on the valve that opens quickly. The filter stops water from going back and causing damage.
Put the filter upright and leave space underneath to change the filter part.
Big filters need good support in the line.
What should you do to replace the filter?
To clean the filter, turn off the compressed air supply and close the inlet and outlet valves. Then, release any remaining pressure through the drain hole before cleaning.
Take off the cover and take out the old filter part.
Clean the part where the filter goes.
Use a new filter piece and make sure to include the sealing ring. The filter piece needs to be fit securely.
